Index Manager 7.0 and FotoStation 5.x Compatibility

Due to technical reasons, we've decided to drop backwards compatibility with FotoStation 5.x clients in Index Manager 7.0.

Index Manager 7.0 will feature a compatibility mode that supports both FotoStation 6.0 and FotoStation 7.0 clients, but will offer enhanced speed when this mode is turned off. Customers will therefore be able to gradually migrate their client base from version 6.0 to 7.0, and get the speed benefits of version 7.0 when the entire client base has been upgraded.

Customers that are currently using FotoStation 5.x versions are strongly recommended to upgrade to version 6.0 in the period leading up to the release of version 7.0. This will make the transition to version 7.0 easier.
