Support for InDesign Server in FotoWare 7.0 SR 2

With the latest releases of Adobe InDesign, users are prohibited from running these applications on a server by the Adobe licensing terms. FotoWare 6.0 uses plug-ins to these applications to index document content and generate thumbnails and previews of these documents, but this is no longer a viable option for us.

In FotoWare 7.0 Service Release 2, we will therefore support Adobe InDesign Server to index InDesign files. This will additionally lead to performance and stability improvements when working with these documents. The license for Adobe InDesign server must be purchased separately.

The initial release of FotoWare 7.0 will not support indexing and preview generation of InDesign documents. Service Release 2 is scheduled for Q2/2010. The final release date will be announced at a later time.
